Donations

New Jerusalem relies heavily on financial donations to cover the Home’s running costs as well as fund infrastructure development. As a registered NPO and PBO, all donations to the home are tax deductible. As all of our beneficiaries are black, all donations also qualify for BBBEE points.

Donors are entitled to specify how they want their donations utilised. In the case of donations towards infrastructure development, donors also have the opportunity of naming rights and our Naming Rights Policy is available on request.  Our books are audited annually and these too, are available on request.

New Jerusalem has two different accounts. The first, New Jerusalem Children’s Home, is used for the children’s monthly needs as well as the running costs of the Home. The second, Education is Life, is devoted for special education needs as well as infrastructure development. Please send us an e-mail telling us who you are, and how you would like your donation spent so that we can allocate the money accordingly and acknowledge you appropriately.
